I am writing to request your assistance with an important research project, “The impact of other professionals using Building Information Modelling to perform quantity surveying services: Quantity surveyor’s perspectives.," being conducted by myself, Jason Selley a BSc Honours (Quantity Surveying) student at Nelson Mandela University.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the extent of built environment professionals using BIM to provide quantity surveying tasks, as well as to evaluate the potential impact it may have on the quantity surveying profession. You were selected to be part of this project being a Professional Registered Quantity Surveyor / Candidate Quantity Surveyor who is also a member of the ASAQS.
I understand your time may be limited, but I hope you will take the time to complete this important survey. The questionnaire should take a maximum of 10 minutes to complete. As a token of our appreciation for your participation in this important study, we will e-mail you the conference paper of the research findings at the end of the research. All answers will be completely confidential. The survey results being reported in a summary format so that no individual can be associated with a specific response. Participation is strictly voluntary, and you may refuse to participate or discontinue participation at any time.
