The purpose of this self-assessment tool is to create awareness, gain insights into and assess student entrepreneurship support (SES) at Nelson Mandela University (South African Public Universities). The SES Assessment Tool has been developed based on best practices identified through academic research and assesses SES activities relating to seven different elements within a university-based entrepreneurship ecosystem (U-BEE). On completion of this survey, results will be generated indicating an overall SES score, a score for each SES component, an overall awareness score and a SES activities awareness score. These scores will enable Nelson Mandela University (the university in question) to compare its current to its prior performance, and to the average performance of other participating South African universities.
